Dougald Lamont

Manitoba Liberal Party Leader and MLA for St. Boniface

Dougald Lamont was elected MLA for Saint-Boniface in July 2018.

Born at St. Boniface Hospital in 1969, the third of four children, Dougald was raised in Winnipeg. He has two degrees in English Literature (B.A. and M.A) from the University of Manitoba and is bilingual, having learned to speak English and French at a young age.

Working as a writer, editor and policy analyst for over 25 years in both the private and public sector, Dougald's experience includes journalism & advertising, funding initiatives for start-ups, not-for-profits & charities, as well as advising elected officials and public servants on matters of the day.

He has taught Canadian Literature at the University of Manitoba, and most recently was a lecturer in government-business relations at the University of Winnipeg.

Some of his priorities as an MLA include making St. Boniface a "creative hub", boosting local health care and promoting French language education.

Cindy Lamoureux

Cindy Lamoureux is your elected Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba for the constituency of Tyndall Park (elected in 2019).

Cindy was born raised and currently lives in the constituency of Tyndall Park. She has work experience with both provincial and federal levels of government as well as Long Term Care here in Manitoba.

Cindy has a certificate in Christian Studies, a double major in Political Science an Religion and Culture and she is currently obtaining her masters - one class at a time, in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Cindy's critic roles include: Seniors, Education, Immigration, Status of Women, Sports Culture and Heritage and Labour. She is very passionate about helping her constituents and bringing people into the legislature to have their voices heard.

Jon Gerrard

Dr Jon Gerrard is your elected Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba for the riding of River Heights. He has held the seat for River Heights since being elected initially in 1999.

Between 1985 and 1992, Dr Gerrard was director of paediatric oncology and hematology at the Children's Hospital. He has also taught medicine at the University of Manitoba between 1980 and 1993.

From 1993 to 1997, Dr Gerrard was secretary of state for the Chrétien government. He was the leader of the Manitoba Liberal Party from 1998 until 2013.
